Harnessing AI Deepfakes to Revolutionize Your Small Business: An In-Depth Guide

We’re seeing a rise in AI deepfakes and the hoaxes they can generate. These are hyper-realistic images, videos, or voice clones that depict events or statements that never actually occurred. For instance, a deepfake video of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was circulated on social media. This digitally manipulated video showed Zuckerberg confessing to Facebook’s misuse of user data and expressing harmful intentions. This video was made to highlight the potential dangers of deepfake technology, sparking conversations about the need for protective measures and regulations.

So, how will AI deepfakes impact your small business this year, and how can you use them for good rather than harm? This week on The Small Business Radio Show, I spoke with Mark DiMassimo, the Founder and Creative Chief of DiGo (DiMassimo Goldstein). DiGo is a leading agency in Positive Behavior Change marketing, which Mark established in 1996 in New York City.

I asked Mark several questions about deepfakes: What are the risks to customers when deepfake AI sources start to seem reliable? How will this further impact brands who still advertise on Twitter or other social media sites? Will AI Hoaxes further delay the return of many brands who stopped advertising on Twitter since Elon Musk’s takeover of that company? What effects will the spread of disinformation through AI have on our customers and employees? How will this all-impact Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok and other social media platforms in the long-term? How can small businesses defend against deepfakes and use this technology to their advantage?

You can listen to the entire interview with Mark to learn what your small business can do in the face of this emerging technology.
