Patrick Daniel grew up in Washington State and tied the knot with his wife Emily in 2010. Two years later, he joined the Navy. His first gig after boot camp took him to Pensacola, Florida. Patrick mentioned that he was a Leading Petty Officer and managed computer network defense. He joined the Navy to be part of something bigger and to see beyond his hometown. By the time he left the Navy, he had traveled to 27 countries, met incredible people, and taken part in fascinating missions. He’s grateful for those experiences and believes his service and education have paved the way for his success in various areas of life.
Patrick and Emily returned to Pensacola because they fell in love with the place. After spending three years stationed on a ship in Rota, Spain, they settled permanently in Pensacola. They consider themselves fortunate to be part of the community and have raised their two daughters there. At 34, Patrick served at Correy Station in Pensacola, and during that period, he and Emily started two real estate investment businesses. One focused on renovating and selling older homes to tackle the affordable housing crunch in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, while the other targeted multi-family properties.
In 2021, Patrick crossed paths with Isaac Phillips, who had spent 15 years in operations management and led a commercial real estate portfolio team. Even though he loved his job, Isaac felt he was building someone else’s dream. He’d always dreamed of having his own company, and that desire grew over time. The duo met through mutual interests in real estate and considered franchise opportunities. They decided to partner up after sharing similar goals, leading Isaac and his family to move from Michigan.
After conducting thorough research, they chose Floor Coverings International, based in Georgia, as the perfect company for their venture. The company was known for its excellent customer service technologies and robust training and support systems. After meeting the CEO, Tom Wood, both partners were fully committed. Together, they established FCI of West Florida Panhandle, with a storefront in Pensacola and plans for another location in Destin/Fort Walton Beach. What really sets their company apart is the mobile showroom experience, allowing customers to view over 3,000 samples in their own environment with their preferred lighting and decor.
Patrick looks back fondly on his time in the Navy, cherishing the friendships and achievements. Now, he’s excited about this new chapter in his life.
